AskOurChurch helps you explore a church’s teaching. It takes the church’s own videos (primarily from its YouTube channel) and, on some plans, uploaded documents, and makes them searchable and conversational. When you ask a question, the assistant finds the most relevant moments from the church’s content and points you to them.
The assistant does not browse the open internet for answers, and it does not speak for the pastor or the church. It surfaces and summarizes what is already in the church’s content.
Search: returns up to 5 relevant result cards — each with a short relevance note, a video thumbnail, and a play button with a timestamp so you can watch the exact moment.
Chat (on eligible plans): shows the same result cards first, then offers a short conversational follow-up. A fuller summarized answer, with a Bible verse and a timestamped clip, appears when you engage.
Every answer is designed to point you back to the original video and timestamp. We encourage you to watch the source clip and read the cited verse in context. The assistant is a guide to the church’s teaching — not a replacement for it.
AskOurChurch uses artificial intelligence, including automated transcription, semantic search, and language models, to index content and generate summaries, search results, and conversational responses (“Generated Output”). Generated Output is produced automatically and is not reviewed by a person before you see it.
AI systems can make mistakes. Generated Output may be incomplete, out of date, taken out of context, or simply wrong, and may not reflect the intended meaning of the source material or the position of the church, its leadership, or Studio DR. Summaries are interpretations, not verbatim quotations, unless shown as a direct quote or clip.
Generated Output is provided for information and pastoral-support purposes only. It is not professional advice and is not a substitute for pastoral guidance, or for legal, medical, financial, or other professional advice. For important decisions, speak with the church directly or a qualified professional.
The assistant surfaces and summarizes a church’s existing content. The original video, the pastor’s own words, and Scripture in context are authoritative — not the AI summary. Always check the cited source and timestamp.
Bible text shown is drawn from the selected translation (currently public-domain KJV/WEB). Different translations render passages differently. See “Bible licensing & attributions” for details. The assistant may reference verses, but reading them in full context is recommended.
Churches configure aspects of the assistant, such as tone, goals, and any calls to action. These settings influence how responses are phrased. Studio DR provides the technology; the church is responsible for the content it connects and publishes and for how it configures the assistant.
To the extent permitted by law, Studio DR is not liable for decisions made in reliance on Generated Output. Your use of the Service is subject to the Terms of Service, including the disclaimers and limitations of liability set out there.
Questions you ask may be processed to provide and improve the Service. When you use a church’s page or widget, your data is generally processed on behalf of that church. See the Privacy Policy and, for the church-controller relationship, the DPA.
